Richard Pitt is a therapist relaunching his career online after the collapse of his previous practice. It’s the first day of his new venture and he tackles an array of clients while fighting fires in his own life.

Pete delivers an extraordinary video for Richard’s site. With Karen in Zurich, the kids complain they’re not being properly cared for. Richard tries to enlist his siblings to deal with their mother. Richard can’t get past Karen’s boss to talk to her and has to listen to Werner’s incredible stories.

Richard tries to film an introductory video for his new website with best friend Pete. Issy’s love life seems to be spiraling out of control and Richard is tricked by Ricky into getting involved. Richard faces pressure to get a vasectomy but comes up with a plan to avoid having to have the snip.

Richard’s mother Maggie has moved in and piles on the emotional devastation while Karen has her own problems at work.

Seeking protection from Neil, Richard installs cameras throughout his house. Meanwhile, he has to arrange Ricky’s party, and give therapy to clients. He tries intervening in Issy's relationship with Nathan. Karen’s work troubles intensify and she finds herself knee-deep in corporate chaos.

After Ricky's party, Richard wakes up drunk on the living-room floor. His financial adviser calls to discuss re-mortgaging, Richard desperately needs the money to help pay back Neil. While Richard and his siblings debate Maggie’s future, she goes missing. Richard sends Jose to look for her.
