Northern Rescue

NORTHERN RESCUE is a family drama centered around The Wests, a complex family coming together to repair and rebuild after the loss of their matriarch, who are learning to cope alone and together as their definition of family evolves.

When the West family suddenly lose their mother to cancer, they are forced to re-evaluate their entire existence. John West (Billy Baldwin) takes a job in Turtle Island Bay, where the kid’s Aunt Charlie (Kathleen Robertson) lives, in the hope it will give his family a fresh start.

After Aunt Charlie’s (Kathleen Robertson) house burns down, the Wests only option is to live in the rundown local Aquaverse. John (Billy Baldwin) meets his new SAR team and goes out on a dangerous cliff rescue. Maddie (Amalia Williamson) reveals to her therapist that her mom was having an affair. Scout (Spencer Macpherson) goes missing but shows up at his old girl friend’s house in Boston.

When Sarah's belongings arrive at Aquaverse the Wests decide that each family member can find a meaningful possession of Sarah’s as a memento to keep and hold on to. John (Billy Baldwin) goes on a daring rescue, saving an injured man from an out-of-control fire. Maddie’s (Amalia Williamson) new friend Henry (Evan Marsh) introduces her to Gwen (Eliana Jones), a carefree rebel.

Taylor (Taylor Thorne) puts pressure on herself to win the school Spelling Bee, but it goes horribly wrong. Scout (Spencer Macpherson) makes the wrestling team, but continues to struggle to fit in. Henry (Evan Marsh) gives Maddie (Amalia Williamson) an unusual tour of TIB and John (Billy Baldwin) misses Taylor's Spelling Bee when he stops at an accident on the road to rescue an elderly lady with dementia.

A group of teens pull off a stunt leaving TIB in a blackout. When John (Billy Baldwin) forgets his wedding anniversary, Taylor (Taylor Thorne) rallies the West family for a last-minute celebration. John is outraged when Maddie (Amalia Williamson) is arrested for shoplifting.

Scout's (Spencer Macpherson) attitude gets him kicked off the Wrestling team. Maddie (Amalia Williamson) kisses Henry (Evan Marsh) in a game of ‘Truth or Dare’. Taylor (Taylor Thorne) faces more bullying when a video meme of her passing out at the Spelling Bee surfaces at school, while Alex (Sebastien Roberts) finally convinces Charlie (Kathleen Robertson) to hear him out.

After a small plane crashes in a secluded ridge, John (Billy Baldwin) coaches a young girl over the phone on how to keep her injured father alive until they can arrive. Gwen (Eliana Jones) stands up for Taylor (Taylor Thorne) which only makes matters worse between Maddie (Amalia Williamson) and Taylor. Meanwhile, Taylor, angered by her sister’s betrayal, draws a line in the sandbox. Scout's (Spencer Macpherson) off the wrestling team but can't bring himself to tell John.

Scout (Spencer Macpherson) takes off into the forest where he comes across an injured bear. When an altercation ensues between the motorist (Lawrence Bayne) and Scout over the fate of the dying bear, Scout calls his dad to intervene. Taylor (Taylor Thorne) battles it out with Raji (Birva Pandya). Maddie (Amalia Williamson) picks up a redirected envelope in the mail to her mom and later confronts Gwen (Eliana Jones) about what happened with Stacy.

During a motocross rescue, John (Billy Baldwin) takes a nasty hit and is rushed to the hospital where he is placed in a medically induced coma. Charlie (Kathleen Robertson) needs to decide whether she's going to stay with Alex (Sebastien Roberts) and leave Turtle Island Bay and the West family.

Maddie (Amalia Williamson) consults Charlie (Kathleen Robertson) to learn more about her mom’s past. Gwen (Eliana Jones) persuades Scout (Spencer Macpherson) to help her host a BBQ/Party. Taylor (Taylor Thorne) tries to figure out why she’s not feeling like herself; meanwhile, Charlie finds more than she bargained for about Alex (Sebastien Roberts) in a routine traffic stop. Backed into a corner, John (Billy Baldwin) let's slip a secret that will change Maddie’s life forever.
