    The wealthy Svyrid marries Alena who is reluctant to marry without love.

  • 2. Episode 2

    Tanya meets Oleg who is studying to be a doctor and has his own farm. Her parents have begun to select candidates for her, but Oleg is not in a hurry to ask for Tanya's hand.

    Vasyl returns to his village and is appointed the new village chief. Tanya is unhappy with rural life in Tarasovka.

    Vasily continues to wonder who the girl's real father is. Olesya believes it was he who brought problems to her family, but only Osken knows the truth.

    Fedor returns to his village and stays with Tanya. The head of the council, Vasyl, does his best to make the residents happy, but the demands of the city prevent this.
